Assistant Manager, People’s Grocery Co-op
The assistant manager assists the General Manager with daily operations and functions of the co-op. (S)he is responsible for ‘front of the house’ operations, including but not limited to, personnel, customer service, sales floor appearance, and ordering. This is a full time position (40hrs/wk) with salary and benefits.
Required skills include computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, email….etc.). Exceptional interpersonal skills are necessary for interactions with employees, customers, and members. A working knowledge of retail business, including but not limited to margin/markup, inventory, and product mix management are also required.
