Membership

Becoming a member-owner of People’s Grocery means investing in our community. Currently the equity investment is $55, and your investment is refundable should you decide to withdraw your membership. Ownership means that you believe in your community, in small business, and in building a healthy resource for yourself, your family, and your neighbors.

As of July 1, 2009 People’s Grocery Cooperative will return to the policy of the bylaws (Article XI.3) to distribute net proceeds of store once annually to members either in cash or equivalent store credit. The policy offering members a monthly discount is hereby discontinued. However, members are still eligible for 10% discount on Special Orders. Also, we are now featuring monthly Member Only Specials throughout the store.
