Patronage Refund

If you have not heard, People’s Grocery changed from a discount to a patronage refund structure for its owners in July 2009. The first patronage refunds are now available in our store at 1620 Fort Riley Blvd. Patronage Refunds are simply a portion (this time about 5%) of your purchases being returned to you in store credit as a form of ‘dividend’ on your equity investment in the Cooperative.

This first Patronage Refund covers purchases made from July – Dec 2009. If you spent money at the Coop using your member number during this time period you should have a refund. The total amount refunded is over $10,000!! Approximately half of those who received a refund have collected them so far. Refunds ranged from a couple cents up to $200.
